Transition in Kings
Transition in Kings, or TiK, was founded in 2011 by three friends around a kitchen table to develop a local response to the challenges of creating similar initiatives on a local scale. You can read about our vision for the low-carbon community here.
TiK is an unincorporated voluntary organisation, and you can view our Constitution.
The Transition Network
The Transition Network aims to engage communities in adapting to a new lifestyle which will reduce our vulnerability to power cuts, fuel shortages, food scarcities and cut-backs to local services, which are likely to occur as a result of climate changes and continued austerity.
Transition Network is a charitable organisation whose role is to inspire, encourage, connect, support and train communities as they self-organise around the Transition Model, creating initiatives that rebuild local resilience and reduce CO2 emissions.
Ultimately it’s about creating a healthy human culture, one that meets our needs for community, livelihoods and fun.
Transition Network runs events, conferences, training, blogs and webinars. We produce monthly newsletters, books, films, guides, tweets and more, all with the intention of best supporting those around the world who are doing Transition.
